Our Business Administration course will help you to develop
exceptional organisational skills, which can be employed in a
variety of roles and industries.
Why should you choose this Apprenticeship?
This course is perfect for those people who are neat and tidy and
love to be organised. With three stages and the option to add a
Management Level 3, the course is designed to give you the
confidence to manage multiple tasks. The Apprenticeship is perfect
for you if you’re working or would like to work in an
administration-based role (at a level of junior secretary or
administration assistant) and would like to develop their
work-related skills, knowledge and understanding of an
administrative role.
On completion of the qualification you will be able to:
• Create, summarise and locate critical business information
• Communicate confidently and contribute to discussions
• Understand the importance of planning
• Recognise and manage problems at work
• Understand the importance of teamwork
What are the entry requirements?
There are no specific academic entry requirements, learners should
be in full time employment (16hrs+) and have been in a suitable
role for 6 months or more.
How long does the course take?
There are no time restrictions so you can study at your own pace,
however the course typically takes learners from 9- 12 months to
complete, but this will depend upon the learners experience and
their desire to progress.
How will the Apprenticeship be assessed?
Each unit structure is made up from elements which are applicable
to a Business Administration role including key skills such as
application of number and communication. All assessments are work
based and planned in advance to occur every 3-6 weeks.
ENVQ
The learning programme and each assessment will be loaded to the
ENVQ system, which is designed to create a portfolio of work based
evidence throughout the qualification. A review visit is carried
out at your workplace every 10 – 12 weeks with your Line Manager
present.
What will I get at the end?
On successful completion of the qualification you will receive a
Technical certificate in Business Administration.

stepping stone into a range of career paths including Payroll,
Administration, Management and Human Resources.
Progression
After studying Levels 2 & 3 in Business and Administration
students often progress to a higher level NVQ such as Team
Leadership, Management or Accountancy AAT qualifications.
