I work in the Kaplan Bristol office and it’s been a pleasure to coordinate the scholarship applications which we have received over the last few weeks. After short listing 4 suitable candidates, on Wednesday we carried out the interviews and appointed our new Bristol 2010 scholar, Abi Babbage. Abi won this scholarship by demonstrating a real passion to develop her career through the AAT qualification and I am sure she will go on to higher level qualifications on completion of her AAT, if she would like to. I am sure Abi’s mature, realistic and honest approach will help her develop in this profession. She already has a great understanding of the accounting world having carried out several weeks of work experience at any opportunity possible.

We are now actively helping Abi look for work, to follow her A-level exams that she is sitting this June. We look forward to having Abi as an AAT accounting apprentice in Bristol, starting in September.
