Description
Key ResponsibilitiesCredit Control & Cash Collection
- Manage the collection of rent, service charges, insurance, and other tenant income in accordance with lease terms
- Monitor debtor accounts and proactively reduce arrears and aged debt
- Issue reminders, statements, and formal correspondence where required
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases and support recovery actions (including payment plans and legal escalation where appropriate)
- Maintain accurate and up to date debtor records
- Client & Tenant Relationship Management
- Act as a key point of contact for tenants and clients regarding account queries and payments
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships to ensure efficient resolution of issues
- Liaise regularly with Property Managers and Asset Managers on arrears positions and tenant performance
- Deliver a high standard of client service, aligned with Tandem’s professional and collaborative ethos
- Prepare and deliver regular reporting in line with client and internal requirements, including:
- Aged debt reports
- Cash collection reporting
- Arrears commentary
- Support client reporting cycles and meetings with relevant financial insight
- Ensure all outputs are accurate, timely, and compliant with reporting standards
- Assist with audit queries and maintain appropriate financial records
- Maintain high levels of data accuracy and system integrity across finance and property systems
- Identify opportunities to enhance credit control processes, reporting, and efficiency
- Support Shared Services initiatives to improve consistency, controls, and service delivery
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
